You can’t go to Mexico without drinking the tequila. This is my first ever tequila bandera. Americans make a mockery of tequila. We throw it back to try to hide the sting and get drunk asap. In Mexico, they sip high quality tequila with meals, savoring the flavors of the agave or mezcal plant. Shown here is the standard bandera. One shot glass tequila (Jose Cuervo Tradicional, now available in the States), one shot glass lime juice, and one shot glass sangrita (mix of tomato and orange juice, sometimes spicy). You sip these alternatively. You would be surprised at how enjoyable tequila can be!

Eliminator

1/2 oz Jagermeister

1/4 oz Jack Daniel’s

1/4 oz tequila

1/2 tsp Bacardi 151 

Pour the Jagermeister into a shot glass, followed by the Jack Daniel’s and then the tequila. Spoon the Bacardi on top and light on fire to serve.

Pour the goldschlager into a shot glass, followed by the tequila, followed by the Jack Daniels.
